No Podie, no comments on Pussies and 'injections' please

Just read the 'S' bible by Steve Heath and he mentions about injector cleaners (such as RedX) possibly harming the Cats?
Is this true?
Just though i'd give her a clear out, but if its going to hurt emissions i won't bother!

Any advice?

Anyway, cats? Get them removed... lot more fun!

but as mine post '93 won't that raise an emissions problem?

from Steve Heath's second edition 'S' bible:
"If a mainland UK car has a chassis registered after 1st January 1993, it must be fitted with a catalytic converter"

Indeed!

Technically you are right Podiethey became mandatory in 96, but they were fitted to all new vehicles requiring type approval from the 1st Jan 93. If your car was originally factory specified with one and you remove it, then legally the MOT station should fail you, but as we all know this has become something of a grey area for pre 96 cars

Console youself with the fact that you were wrong really and I was just trying to be nice, then you won't feel so bad

Unless of course your source was your MOT tester, in which case, you may actually feel worse right about now.
