Saturday night part of neighbours shed roof blew into the Tiv

The damage is to the paintwork and fibreglass all along the rear end and boot lid, the offending metal piece then flipped onto the hood, hit our Audi and scratched along the sill and door as well. I'm GUTTED she has been a joy with only a couple of forgivable probs, sorry Gadgit your superb spray job is ruined

The hood only got slightly marked and is a bit tatty anyway, do you think I should claim for a new one on his insurance

That'll be the neighbours insurance, by the way, not yours

Thought about this so I carefully inspected the bit (and took photos) that came off and any court in the land would have to agree it wasn't fixed securely, so his liability I would hope. It's also part of the guy's business so I reckon I'll be OK on either his buildings or public liability insurance.

I think being all omnipotent and things, he may have had more important things to do on a Saturday night, than throwing bits of shed at Simon's car.

It would also be a little difficult for any insurance company to legally call God a vandal, so, technically you should be able to get around that clause (with a little help from the CoE).

Nice photo in your profile Simon. Do you use a booster seat?

What a pisser...

...a minor silver lining is that there should be some insurance to cover it, that isn't your own policy..

All the best with it.
Matt.

You have seen the movie too then.(The man who sued God- Billy Connolly)

Honestly though it is a clause which the insurance companies do call upon.Simon is correct in that he has to prove that the roof was in a bad state of repair. The fact that it was windy is not sufficient for a claim.

Good luck Simon don't let them fob you off

Firstly, can I say that I'm sure that you were taller when I met you than you are in your profile!

What the F**k have you done to my car.... wait a minute, its not mine anymore, thank christ for that!

Well I'm gutted, and no doubt so are you simon, so firstly don't be to worried. That roof might well be damaged worse that you think! and I just happen to have a hardtop you might like to have. Only joking!

Now, back to the paint work. this should be not be any trouble to repair and spray in around the back end. Any good spray shop should be able to do that and you won't be able to see the joint.
Compared to what it looked like when I started its nothing!
As others have said, you might even get a new hood out of it.

Good luck mate.
