OK looks like my insurance claim may be accepted :fingerscrossed:, and the silver lining is that I'm going to get a new hood fitted . The question is do I go for blue or black and has anyone got photos of blue S's with hoods up to back up their argument.

I prefer black myself, though I think it sometimes depends on what shade of blue your car is. Blue hoods seem to work better on darker blue cars IMO. With yours being a mid sort of blue, I'd go for black, but thats me.

Good news then, thank god for that. Bet that makes you fell better now Simon if you get your new roof as well.
I'd be tempted to go for the dark blue which I think as someone said is cobalt. Mohair of course!

Good luck.

Mybe I'll post a picture of my new car if anyone's interested to see it. ( only thing is its not a TVR ) but may evolve into one in about 2 years if I survive driving this one that long!

Andy, looking at your profile it looks like your existing hood is blue? it looks good! I would go for a dark blue hood, it looks good with your colour of car!

Patrick, did you sell the TVR then......? Is it still in the area? So what have you bought?

Yes I did sell it, S1.5f has it on this thread, and he's just clonked it. He says the wind did it but I've never eaton anything to produce that much damage.
Thing is, he's only a youg lad with a lovely young thing in toe, and bearing in mind when your that young sometimes you put you hands when you driving in places that distract you when reversing.
When I was a lad (three years ago) I attempted a move on the wife (which as normal was rejected) and hit the back of the car in front, but of course managed to blame it on her.

Simon, get to work!

Oh, what did I end up with, a F3 racing car (don't ask)

This is the front suspension, and you can see its quite like the TVR in a lot of respects, wishbones!

Have you had enough, i'm a bit worried I'll bore you all to death with this if I'm not careful!
Perhaps I'll start a thread on it and not ruin simons subject.

Not wanting to hijack this thread but - Gadgit is this going to be a 'road legal F3' or just for trackdays etc.
