I am considering taking the badges off my car because de-badging a car is well bling init?

No really I'm considering taking them off to give them a clean up or maybe replacing them with a Leven set. Is there anything

I need to know about doing this? Such as screws, crazy glue tha will remove all the paint and most of the GRP?

The badges on my mini had small studs which pushed through the bonnet and were secured by bits of rubber, whilst the rear was glued on and consequently ripped half the paint off the boot when I took it off.

I hate that stuff. Hmmm.. will have to see. Hopefully there won't be anything on it. I want to get the flakey Green paint off it.

The rear one is a sinch, but the front one can be a bit of a cow to do. You need thin arms.

drive front wheels onto a couple of planks and you can lift the bonnet higher and get to the fron one quite easily

I knew at the time that there was probably a better way of doing it!

Agreed; if you get a couple of thickish bits of wood, you can get the bonnet open to 90 degrees and then it's possible to get to the front badge relatively easily (relative to it being a pain in the arse previously ) without needing orangutang arms.

Mine both unbolted very easily; you just need to mind the paintwork when bolting the new ones on as there's a bit of movement until they're tight.
