Bang Goes the Back of My Car

Quite literally!

On my way home this evening I had someone run into the back of me as I slowed down to let a car turn across in front of me.

The back of my car is now quite a mess. All the lights are smashed, the GRP is cracked at the top on both sides and in the middle, and there is a sizeable hole underneath where the offside rear light used to be. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Incidentally, sorry I didn't make it to the meeting tonight Dave, but I was otherwise occupied! I need to speak to the other guy's insurance tomorrow, but I was wondering about using the repairer you used in Frensham if I'm able... watch this space.

Thanks for the well wishes guys. I'm just about the start the process of talking to the insurance etc., so we'll see what transpires.

I'm remaining fairly chilled about this so far, but I guess that might change at some point...

Petrol tanks need changing every now and then from what I've read... so might be worth the effort.

At least now the back end, will be as smart as the front!!!

jesus Richard - even as an everyday drive your S seems to be a magnet for numpties. Sorry to hear that but as you know from the previous incident, sometimes it can work in yoru favour re stonechips and new petrol tanks etc. Hope the repairs all go smoothly for you.

I've seen the Corvette S, IIRC it belongs to v8esser. I bought some wheels off him in Summer, the car looks absolutlely stunning!! Not just the Lights the whole car is great.
