Getting ready for VW

Seeing as you chaps have been polishing up your P & J's this afternoon I thought I share a picture of the scene outside my place this afternoon of panic setting in of how we would actually get to VW at all....

I know that feeling...been fixing things all day...

And I still have a leaking radiator

And an uncalibrated temp gauge (not a good combination with the above)

And no drivers wing mirror

...and a few other things that will cost me come next service time!

So I *might* be there tomorrow. Why is it that my Chim is 100% reliable until 48 hours before a meet, when everything suddenly goes tits up?

Not looking forward to my Le Mans preparations!!!

sorry pies - forgot to say it was Psychobert around mine with his S - not too dissimilar to my old one though...

My chim needed an otter switch replacement and a few other bits so its been a day of maintenance rather than polishing - out of the piss tonight so it will be a headache induced clean before the meet!
