Does anyone know how much the red S3 made on ebay? It was listed about a week ago.

It reached £5500 - but reserve wasn't met.

Personally I wasn't keen on the stainless steel dash, but it looked quite tidy overall.

Thanks Alex, The dash was abit iffy. I have n S3c and am considering selling it as a deposit for a Tuscan, so wondered if it was worth putting it on ebay.

GJL - if you price the S right it will go from the PH classifieds in no time. Maybe I underpriced mine but I had 4 calls the same day it was advertised and it was driven away within a week.

you may want to see if white_van_man is interested as he missed out on another S this week.

S to Tuscan - quite a performance jump. Be interested to hear how you get on.

But not by me grrrrr... just kidding shnozz.

Yep go with PH, I would generally feel better about buying somthing from PH especially if they post their profile. First place I look for anything.

S to Tuscan. That's what I want to do. I wish.

well, one of the calls was from you Amazed at how quickly my car went really. As I say, maybe it was too cheap. Ah well.

Tuscan or cerb probably next on the cards for me, although making sure any blinkers are off and not excluding non-TVR either.

Choose wisely, given the comments you have made towards Mel and Flasher...!

the grief I have taken about still owning a TVR is plenty anyways funny, as when I sold the S and test drove RX7's, Porker 968's etc they all called me homosexual as I wasnt going straight for another TVR.

keeping options open at the moment, Cerb, tuscan, Maser Porsche 911

only problem is that I still feel attached to the Chimaera so I may just spend the cash elsewhere, sort out a nicer second car and the garage needs a £10k extension

I'm not too keen on a Maser, but 911 go, go, go! My father used to drive them. No shame in a 911. 993 though.

Anyone know if White van man is looking for an S immediately, or is he prepared to wait. I love my S and before I sell it I am doing some work on it. Rusty outriggers, so they are being replaced, chassis blasted and coated, new carpets and possibly a full respray. It will cost quite a bit, but if I sell, I want the new carer to love it as much as me, also, if I dont find a nice car to replace it, I will have a nice car for the summer.

ah, but i never said which maser

hiding from flasher but whilst the 3200/4200 is a smooth car, i am 20 years too young to drive one

if it was a maser it would be a Ghibli - just throwing the the idea around on the ferrari/maserati forum now.

Might not be the right car then for him - I know he was looking at trying to find a bargain one as I think his budget is small.

"NO SHAME IN A 911" !!!???
My brother has a 1999 911/993/996? thing. It sounds like a hand held dirt devil vacuum cleaner. How can people get passionate about these cars. I think that perhaps Schnozz could attach a diffuser to the exhaust and use it as a mobile hair dryer! If you dont buy a TVR again I guarantee all your chest hair wiil fall out.

The Ghibli is a nice car. You are forgiven. Thought you may have meant the 3200 or such like.

I can highly rcommend PH classifieds, I put my S2 on there and within 2 hrs it was effectively sold with 7 people in reserve wanting the car. adyw came within two days and drove it away, a bit sad to see her go being my first Tiv an all, but I am sure adyw will look after her!
