Hi Podie,
Any news from Leven, which bits did you find fit the S?? Whilst ordering my Griff Window switch covers they told me you had found a few other bits fit the S, which were they??

Cheers

Yep, some good news...!

The covers will fit the replacement (Griff / Chim / Vauxhaul) electric window switches... but the Chimaera air vent covers fit the S3 to V8S cars outer dash vents (the rectangular ones).

I have a couple of pictures at home, so I'll post them up tonight.

Cheers looking forward to seeing the photos!

When is the next Mid Essex meet, I am in Cambridgeshire and wouldnt mind putting a face to the names! Is there ever a big meet where for instance Herts/Bedfordshire/Cambs/Essex might all get together?

Check later tonight and I'll stick up a photo or two...

The Mid-Essex meet is always the second Sunday of the month... so 11 April, 9 May, 13 June....

Only trouble is, the April one is Easter and June one is Le Mans, so attendence may be down a fair bit....

The May one will be the Mid-Essex convoy first anniversary, so I'm hoping to get LOADS of visitors for that one...!

Mike, that'd be great... weather should be good by then (fingers crossed). We had ten S's on Sunday in the convoy and another one (maybe two??) came to the meet as well...

Should be able to make that. Better get some tidying done if it's going out in public. Also make sure I don't park next to Mr Sheen!

Mike,

As promised...

These pics show the Leven dash air vents, listed as Chimaera vents... on the "latest news" section of the site...

...and here they are installed on my S...

..please note that I used Leven's demo vent so I didn't push it all the way into the dash...

The Leven site says... said:

Chimaera Dash Vents
A smart finishing trim to the existing plastic vents

An alloy trim carefully finished to match our other alloy accessories. Simple and easy to fit (adhesive supplied). Sold in pairs. Available now ex stock. Prices are £32.55 per pair + Vat + £3.50 delivery (£41.75). For those owners who want to fit all 4 the price is £55.34 for 4 + Vat + £3.50 delivery (£68.52).

..but us S owners only need one pair...

Yes but it makes sense for instance if two of us want to buy them, we buy 4 and split the cost....

No offence intended but I'm not convinced about the chrome against grey look that you've got there... does it look better in the flesh so-to-speak..?

Cheers
Matt.

Actually it lightens the interior quite considerably... ask Keithyboy he saw it "in the flesh"

Yep - It does look OK I must admit - although as Podie and I discussed at the time from a purely aesthetic perspective they'd probably look best against a dark interior. That said Im still going to get a pair for my magnolia interior once I get all my other ally bits!
