Started to sort out the lighting.

Side lights - rear light and number plate all good. Front sides fed from left dim only 10 v. Right side OK at 12v. Only lhs dip wired and that is dim too but b
Not checked voltage. Given up for tonight.

Probably just a dodgy earth. Why not scrap the crap OE connectors and go the Phillpot route using trailer connectors?

sounds like the usual stuff, a mix of corroded connections and poor earths.


Chop it all back and take front light wiring into the bonnet in one loom and split to either side once "in the bonnet".


A bit of searching will come up with various options for connections (do you need connections, how often does the bonnet come off?).


My choice was a caravan plug and socket

Completely rewired every thing on the bonnet. Made sure the earth on the front lhs chassis is good too. Problem is further back in the car.....
