How to reset the inertia switch?

As title. Other than it's location can't find any info about how to reset it. Does it automatically reset with the ignition being turned off and on? Can't see a button or switch to do it manually.
I would think it would be a mechanically latched device which in an impact would trigger a piston or weighted inertia plunger that would cut the fuel supply or switch off the fuel pump relay. So I would expect some way of re-cocking the device without having to crash the car backwards

Is there anywhere to insert a rod of some sort to enable this?
I don't think early S's has inertia switches fitted.
Any Haynes Manuals cover this subject?
Ford Inertia Switches.
The "Made in England" type and the USA FoMoCo version were fitted to both US & European Ford cars.
Middlebridge fitted them to their 2.9 V6 cars. TVR didn't.
