Update on 2.9 injection problem Solved!
Discussion
Hi All,
Just thought I would bring you up to date on my previous thread.
According to the fault code reader I have now managed to cure the faults of voltage too high on the TPS,air flow meters etc. This was the little bugger that was causing half of the problems.
The wire you can see underneath, which is the main feed to the ecu, had broken just inside the plastic join cover so no signal was passing to the ECU. The two cables together go to the air flow meters - both were broken somewhere between the join and the meters. I spliced some new cable in and that cured 3 of the 5 faults but it was still showing voltage too high and wiring fault on one AFM. When I put the meter across there was a resistance showing - It turns out to be another break in the AFM cable!
I decided to replace the cables all the way to the connector (probably should have done this in the first place!) and all appears to be well with no faults showing.
I now just have to wait for my radiator to be recored (Sould have been ready last week!)and we can fire her up again and see what else won't work!!
The saga continues!
Thanks for your help so far
Bill
