TVR S4C - Looking at buying
Discussion
Hey there,
To start with just a little background: I'm in Auckland, New Zealand, don't have a lot of experience with cars other than driving them for years and use mechanics etc to service cars (i don't do it myself)
I've been looking at buying a car with character for a while and a TVR S4C caught my eye. It's a 94, and done about 100,000ks (60,000 miles).
I'm wondering whether buying this car would be a world of pain with maintenance & parts etc - especially since I'm on the other side of the world to where most of the parts live.
What i'm basically looking for is some advice whether it's worth the time and effort, and if the time and effort is going to be excessive.
If anyone can link me to any advice or info i should read up on first that would be appreciated as well
Cheers!

Lot of parts are Ford so possibly quite common and available near to you? - especially since I'm on the other side of the world to where most of the parts live.

It's a twenty five (or there abouts) year old car, like any other it will need a bit of TLC which, if you're not a "spanner man", can add up at $50 or whatever per hour at the workshop? If you want a good'ol read up on living life with a S series I would set aside an hour or two (beats doing any real work) and read all of this website

I hope he won't mind me linking to it from here, but I have always found it to be a gold mine of information and entertaining written to boot
