Ok took the car over to track v road today for some pre euro tour work..

Found this when I got there... Lols as per title it was there when I left.. All the mild steel bolts / screws sheered off.

So do I replace or smooth ?

Well, they might have been mild steel once-upon-a-time, probably not for a while though laugh

This what was holding mine on...

Replace (IMHO) or go and look for it?

Replace, keep it original as much as possible. Not a fan of "smooth" (personal taste)

One of front ones fell off recently in a car park so I thought I'd check the other. As soon as I touched it, that fell off as well. Have you got the rudder? I don't think the exact section is available any more so you'll probably have to change both if its lost.

Plenty of advice on this on the S Forum, so I did a PH search:
2 results:

How to corner very quickly in a Chimaera, and
Wedge parts hoard.

This apparently in order of relevance, and this filter cannot be altered or adjusted on my phone.

I hear you and they were growing on me... However lols have you seen my car it's not been standard for quite some time.

Funny thing is it was the front ones I was worried about.

So how would I fill them?, something lightweight with glass over or just fill it all will glass / p40 I was thinking the former but don't really know..

Also rubber long gone on the a59 somewhere.. No idea where it even came off though..

Are your smoked lenses kite marked or whatever the term is? I have had some smoked lenses for years but never fitted them as they are not marked; I was concerned about MOT time.

Jeez guys - Damian only asked for some advice - not for his car to become a rolling spares supply. Mind you, how much for the 8 spokes.........

I have the old front rubbers which were ok.

I cut out the recessed parts of the bumper and repositioned using chopped strand fibre glass so that very little filler needed to give the final look.

Yup the rear lenses are original ford rs turbo items so fully legal.

I suspect you would be ok if they look ok... It would be a very keen MOT tester imho if they checked... Again assuming they look right have a reflector etc..

Funny I found a thread mentioning rs turbo quad light rear conversion but couldn't find any pics.. I like the smoked items but the connectors are just rubbish they were bad on escorts and are no better on our cars..

Cheers

I think Ford used tin foil and cream cheese to make the holders.

Hi Mick, Where did you get that awesome codpiece? I think we should all be sporting one of those on the Eurotour.

Sorry.

The cod piece works fine - loads of room - but sometimes gets in the way of the steering wheel laugh

The scoop is 90% Alan and 10% me smash

Any photos of your rear spoiler Damian?

I have not checked but I believe TET mouldings did make a g.r.p. section to replace the rubber. I have a number somewhere!
Has anybody got a short piece from a damaged rubber moulding they can let me have? I will have the chance to visit a big leisure boat yard in the near future and I can see if they can identify what was probably a fender rubber of some sort.

Address please and I'll pop a "slice" in the post, it's not a simple section, but you never know! wink
