S3 Electrical circuits
Discussion
If anyone is interested I've done a little work on the electric door mirrors / heaters and window lifters.
The info is still being updated but what I have is in the link below.

Hope someone finds it useful.

I've recently been through the wiring circuits on my mirrors, and got the heater elements working too.. On my S3c they heat up when the heater fan switch is at max. I couldn't find any wiring reference anywhere so assume this is how it was..
Thanks for posting the diagrams, great help...

Excellent job, shame it was a couple of weeks too late to help me with my mirror direction switch wiring when I had to replace the toggle switch. Despite making a note of the wiring I managed to put the switch back 180 degrees out and had to resort to the crappy wiring diagram in the bible.
Still you have saved me a task over the winter, I too planned to redraw the wiring diagrams. Nice one

Dave, I've been using your circuit diagrams for a while now - very very helpful indeed. You did a great job making and sharing these.
As far as I understand, the Full Circuit Diagram is for an 2.8 S1 car because it has all that "cold start" stuff which the 2.9 engines don't have. The Full Engine Bay Circuit Diagram is for the 2.9 S2/S3 cars.
Is this correct ?
Sorry to be a pedantic old git, but I found a small mistake on one diagram. See below in red circle. These should be joined together (you used a red dot to show this on the other side).
