I'm keeping a record of part numbers and any cross references, and here's a few for the lower profile oil filter for our 2.9 Cologne.

OE = Ford Motorcraft EFL298 (Cosworth 2WD)

Others
UFI = 23.114.01
Mann = W914/2
Wix = WL7168
Comline = EOF100

The reason for posting this now is that the Mann filter (OE manufacturer of filters so good quality IMO) is currently on eBay at £3.99 with free postage so if anybody has an oil change lined up for over Winter or for 2016 commissioning work then fill your boots! That's less than half the price of the best value seller of the Motorcraft item.

I think you will also find that the Mann filter is available cheaply at Euro Car Parts.

Yep, the link I've given above is ECP by another name. Still a fine quality filter even if the seller is less so.

I use the 'Mann' oil filter, it is of very good quality, a very good fit and a blue Ford colour.

Are they getting rare?
