While stripping the Reserve down I noticed that there were no lock nuts on the rocker arms above the pushrods.





So got me thinking that the Reserve may have hydraulic tapets. What do people think?

Hydraulic or not they don't have locknuts.

No, as far as I am aware they are all like that. No lock nuts are used. The valve clearance adjuster is an interference fit and should require a significant effort to turn.

No, they aren't hydraulic. There is no chamber to pump up with oil. My guess is that they are conventional but the threads have been engineered to be tight so that a locknut isn't necessary and you have to use hand tools for every bit of movement.
