Guys - it won't be for everyone as I know we are a thrifty bunch, but for some, it might be worth knowing that RaceTec are remanufacturing the rubber gearstick gaitor - I can across this by pure fluke to be honest!

I have to say I will probably buy one of these despite the price. If people don't buy remanufactured parts like this, they will think twice about doing other obsolete parts in the future.
Just a thought.

Call me a cynic but I think it is just a lucky coincidence it also fits the S scratchchin


At that price I wonder how many they have calculated to need to sell to recuperate tooling costs etc? Or the original manufacturer may have still had tooling but wanted a minimum order to make it worth while rejuvenating it?

A quick look at the prices of rubber gear lever gaiters for other cars shows that this is priced about right. Eg.
