TVR 'S' Series Owner/s in Shropshire ?
Discussion
Hello
Just wanted to introduce myself and say "Hello"
I've been 'lurking' in the background for awhile reading the pages on the forum to gain info and learn.
Seriously considering buying an 'S' and wandered if their are any owners in Shropshire who might be able to offer any advice and perhaps let me have a look at their car/s and try it for size ?
(I'm 6' 1" and just want to make sure I'd be comfortable before starting the search)
I'm a qualified mechanical engineer and come from a background of Westfield's and I'm currently rebuilding an 1979 RS2000 engine for a mate who is restoring an Escort, So I know my way around a set of spanners
Thanks in advance for any help

I'm 6' and find mine very comfortable on 2k+ mile EuroTours but you will be best off narrowing your search to an S3 or S4 with the longer doors/hinges.There's our national show day on Bank Holiday Monday at Stoneleigh (making use of the Kit Car Show) which isn't a million miles away if your in south Shropshire, where there'll be plenty of S's to see and owners to talk to.
Maybe see you there?
Max
Hello and welcome. I totally agree with Max, I'm 6'2" and fit nicely in my S3c but doubt I would find it easy to get out of the smaller door aperture of the earlier cars.
You may want to change the steering wheel to a slightly smaller diameter to give your hands a bit more room around your knees but be careful not to go too small or you'll never be able to turn the wheel at parking speeds (unless your built like Geoff Capes (google him if your a youngster!) in which case you may struggle to fit anyway!)
Good luck with the hunt for a good one, you won't regret it.

Hi, I have been working out that way lately and promising myself a ride up there in the S, some great driving roads even in the Transit! I live in Ross On wye, maybe a couple of hours depending on where you are and the traffic but thats perfect for me, I can plan a nice route from mine....maybe this Sunday if the weathers fine. Have a look on here Sat night and can sort it out from there if I do come out to play....mines a V8 but same as S3!
Thanks everyone for the welcome and replies
I'm in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and yes there are some lovely roads just over the border in Wales
The meet at Stoneleigh sounds a good plan and I used to be at the Stoneleigh Kit show regularly with my Westfield's
Keen to meet up with anybody who is passing on a runout, Although its a bit damp up here at the moment
Looks like the search begins
