During the winter I fittet larger rear discs, which meant…
I had to fit new wheel bearing carriers and wheel bearings, which meant…
I had to remove the hubs, which meant…
I had to get a 41mm socket & bar, which meant…
I was able to remove and refit the large nut, but I didn’t have a torque wrench to check they were tight enough, which meant…
I was kindly loaned one on the EuroTour, which meant…
I had a 41mm socket, bar & torque wrench in the car for the trip.
I was on a GTS Bimble, which meant…
We were only an hour away from Glen when he needed the bits, which meant… woohoo

And it all happened in a little town with a guy who was prepared to open his workshop on a Saturday afternoon and just happened to have a Sierra wheel bearing on a shelf.

Amazing how things work out isn’t it ?

Well done to Glen & Tel. There can't be too many blokes who can change a wheel bearing beside the road with basic tools.

I must admit I wondered why some-one would have those tools on the tour - Well done to the garage owner oh and Tel
