Windscreen Regulator

Hi all

I'm after a drivers side window regulator (or tone more precise, the part of the runner that bolts to the glass).

Does anyone know if these were TVR specific, or whether they were from another manufacturer?

May have them in the spare doors I have - from an S2. If I remember to, I'll check on Sunday.

That may well be the bit.

I should have taken pictures when the door was apart to give me a reference. The part on the TVR website could be the bit. I'll have to get in contact (which fills me with dread and a sense of frustration-to-come) and see if they have a picture to go by.

If so, £17+p&p could be a bargain to save me grief with breakers/bodging my own...!

I don't think that is it, but I would have to check again in case my memory is playing tricks on me. Foolishly, I didn't take any pictures when I had it all apart last time.

I don't remember the channel being so long. That piece looks almost more like a window runner.

I think this is saying I need to have the door apart again...

Incidentally, I phoned TVR parts about the bit in the above link. They could not lay their hand on it though they showed 4 in stock. They promised to phone back and let me know one way or the other, and that was the last I've heard. Has anyone had a positive experience dealing with them at all!?

Took my drivers side window out yesterday to try and polish (not very successfully) some scratches off.

Ha ha,

Knew there had to be some factory fitted VAG in the S somewhere. Now just need to remember the thread I mentioned it on.

That item was in one of the two S2 doors I have lying around. Only one door had it though. Not a guide runner as those were still attached.
