Servicing at 54K

So, I have just become the proud father of 1988 S1, my first TVR. To be honest, my first anything other than the car I take to work. We all start somewhere.
The first thing I notice is according to the servicing guide the car is due a service at 540000 miles, which mine has just reached. Can I, a reasonably competent engineer, carry this service out myself? Is there, does anyone have, a published schedule outlining the work to be untaken?

If you search for TVR service schedule you will find numerous lists of the items normally covered at 6K/12K miles. Most of these would be common across the models. Other than understanding what 'check' means in each context i.e. knowing how to check and being able to recognise whether the thing you're looking at is OK or needs attention, you would also need to know where to obtain replacement parts. Some of them are obscure or non-standard. If you're a competent fitter and trust your mechanical judgment then there's really nothing you can't do yourself - at the end of the day it's just a steel chassis with a bunch of standard-ish components bolted on. However, I think for the vast majority it would be more sensible to pay a modest sum to a TVR specialist to make sure everything has been checked over thoroughly.

540000 miles? NASA engineer? 
If you've worked on old cars before it shouldn't present you with any problems.

Anyone able to reproduce it as a PDF or something (or is it already available somewhere on line)?
Couple of "odd balls" on there............
14. Change oil pump end plate seal .... where's that?
19. Replace fuel anti surge pot .... didn't know that was a service item?
other than that it's a fairly generic service schedule for a car of that era

Well you probably could have if it was A4 but not A3 (hadn't noticed that). Two options:-

























1. Take it into your local print shop and ask them to copy it to a .pdf.
2. Send it to me and I'll do it.
Then if anyone wants a copy they can PM me and I'll email it to them in return for a small donation to Longers charity.
Where's that from Ray? A couple of things make me think it's not specific to an S (eg no mention of brake drums/shoes)?
What do the "stars" indicate?
There is nothing to differentiate between a 6000 and a 12000 mile service, for example?
Change brake fluid every 6000 ?
Says "check gearbox oil" and then another line says "change gearbox oil" (and same for diff)?

I'm not sure where it originates from. (its not mine, but not officially marked or copyrighted)
The previous owner of my car had used this to record the (extensive) services he had done himself on the car so even though it is not seeing a dealer for service a future owner can look back and see that the necessary items have been ticked off. I've just carried it on.
The stars do separate so different mileages have 'check' and 'replace' at 6000 or 12000 intervals.
As its a word document I can't seem to embed, but if anyone wants to PM me I can send it back.
There's also the schedule in the Steve Heath bible, so I guess as its a Word document you could use the format of this and then adjust the items to suit with a bit of editing.
