As long as the offset is correct I would presume?.

( Don't ask me what is the correct offset for 8" wheels! )

~et30 with V8 arms, less than that by whatever the difference in the trailing arm width is for a v6, trying to bolt et30 8" wheels on is how I discovered I had a v6 arm one side smile

8" fronts kinda sorta just about fit

The JBW Minilites that are so popular amongst the 'finer' S Clubbers are 15x8 (well mine are) with 0 offset. Fitted fine to both Samy and the Reserve.

Ask any Chimaera/Griff owner with a set of SP12 wheels for a loan of their rear wheels to try.
As I understand it, they are 8 inch ET 33 18 inch rears. You wouldn't use 8 inch wheels on the front of a Chimaera. The SP12 fronts are 7 or 7.5 inches wide.
Don't worry about the wheel diameters - a 225/40 18 is 637mm in diameter. A 225/50 16 is 631mm in diameter, i.e. you can adjust the overall diameter by adjusting the tyre profile. Captain Obvious is my alter ego. swanky jacket.....etc. You can go wider if they will fit, but the wider the tyre, the lower the profile you will need.

I have some of these SP12 wheels, fitted with 225/40 18 tyres. Anyone who wants to pop over to Newark-on-Trent is welcome to try them. I am only 35 miles north of the April 9th TVRCC BHP show at Burghley House. I have a suitable low entry jack, wheel brace and wheel gun.
