Is this better than the standard one?

If so why?

From memory, many seem to say that it gives more consistent throttle response, i.e. there is no 'lump' where the bend in the throttle plate is. But I've had both fitted relatively recently and haven't personally noticed any difference. I've got the standard one on at the moment and don't consider it worth the effort to swap it back over to the straight one.

Better is probably a strong word; its just personal preference.

I fitted one last year and much prefer it. It is more linear, and I prefer not having to almost kick through the pedal to get that last bit pf power.

The old profile plate certainly didn't ruin the car for me though.

Hi Andy, I modified my original, snapped this one up off Ebay as a "spare". the change isn't dramatic but it does give a "snappier" throttle response.

A bit of searching should find an old thread or two............. one to get started
