OK guys help time. I'm looking for a standard top hose for the S1 but in blue. I've found all the others but just can't identify which car it came from. All help appreciated
Cheers tony

Lookikng a the picture I would say number 5 however mine is not a 90 deg as the diagram suggests.

The pipe I'm looking for is from the swirl pot to the thermostate

hope that helps

cheers

It's just a 90deg hose on all the S1's I've worked on, unless someone's fitted a different swirl pot and it has to now go up and over another hose?

Perhaps you could post a picture of your installation?

I think the original top hose is Astra Mk2 (don't forget Opel if you are on ebay).

There is one on there currently - I can't find it again now but it looks right.

ok so it seems theres something a miss with my swirl pot as a 90 degree hose will never fit. Im looking for someone who could weld stainless and is willing to help repesition my top hose pipe to the correct place. Im in chestefield and obviously will pay for your services

cheers Tony

I don't know if it's any help to you, but just as an alternative option there are lots of places that will sell off-the-shelf straight and elbow hose sections which you could use to make your own custom hose. You can also get wire reinforced hose that can be used for arbitrary curved installations. Most of the aftermarket supply will be based on silicone which puts the price up a bit, but it might still work out cheaper than sending your swirl pot out to be modified.

Why that takes me back to mini days. If I can't get it welded think you may well have found the answer to my trouble
