I am just about to drain and flush the cooling system with water and would usually do this 'against' the normal flow direction.

Does anyone know which way the coolant flows into the heater matrix via the heater open/closed valve next to my expansion tank(2.9 v6)? I'm guessing it's front to back.

Also, there's a big difference in price between Wynns coolant flush and Forte but is there a big difference in the end result?

Thanks,

SteveO

Flow to the heater comes out of the cylinder head outlet through the valve then into the bulkhead to the matrix. I used one of those sink plunger pumps to clean mine out, it blows and sucks water back an forth including a bit of air which agitates all the gundge nicely.

Lots of nice pictures in this old thread...... clicky

If in doubt flush both ways smile

I have no experience to comment on which product to use other than anything with "Forte" on it won't be cheap and "Wynns" have been around for a year or two so must be doing something right?
