Hi chaps.

Hopefully an easy one. Where would one find the official stated kerb weight for an S Series?

I know google is your friend, but is it anywhere more official? V5 for example?

Cheers

Cheers for that.

I've seen 987kg banded about online, which seems about right. I just don't want to quote that without some kind of actual backup!

I don't know if there would be a difference between an S1-4?

My log book (V5) doesn't even state model of car (just TVR) let alone weight.

Would guess they get a bit heavier i.e. Electric windows and mirrors?

Wishbones, trailing arms, chassis and steering are all slightly heavier on an s4/v8 (wider track and a couple of extra tubes in the backbone), I'd not expect it to be more than about 10kg though. Bonnet weights probably vary over the years too.

TVR claim the kerb weight for a v8 is 1060 I think.

Cheers guys.

Does anyone happen to have a user manual for an S3 with a quoted weight at all?

Here's a link to the S3 manual. Also on the useful links wiki.
940kg is actually the same kerb weight as the S1/S2.

And about 95% of the kerb weight in a S1-4 is probably the engine..... hehe

A chap in Denmark. Sadly I'm looking at selling the old Pride & Joy, and he wanted to know so he could see how much registration over there would cost (apparently you need to know kerb weight to register over there!).
