Night-time Pics of S3c Dash
Discussion
Been around TVR's for many years (have owned a couple of Chims) and have just bought what I think is a stunning 1991 S3c.
I inspected and drove her in the daylight (as you do) and it has occurred to me that I don't know what the dash and dials look like lit up in the dark!
Would anyone have any pics they could post to show me and put me out of my misery?
Much appreciated guys.
Thanks
Nick

Good choice of car Nick...need to change your profile as it looks like a Merc for some reason...
Not night, but took these int he garage (S3C dash)...unlike those lucky bods in earlier S's we don't get the HUD
...but you will still have a button under your steering cowl which will allow you to turn off the dash lights whilst the outside lights are on. So if you press by mistake you will wonder why there are no lights inside at all

Welcome to the forum Nick, a very good and helpful group. Hope you enjoy the S3.
Mine is an earlier car so dash pics wont help. However I did change too things. I found the standard clear instrument bulbs a bit harsh and (certainly on the earlier cars) there was some distracting reflection. I had to dim them down so much I couldn't really see the instruments. I changed mine to amber bulbs and got the dimmer working properly, much better for me and somehow more 'comfortable'. Some people prefer blue but ir doesnt work for me.

Reading the other reply I now get your HUD reference

He's not wrong - I drove my S3 for about 2 year's thinking every bulb in my dash had blown after checking every fuse ....... until I found (was advised of) the hidden dimmer switch under the dash next to the boot release. Turned out to be cruddy connectors that I cleaned up and it was let there be (dash) light(s).[/url]
You may laugh but it's future!!!
