Was on Ebay last night ( obviously on work time ), and see a star tester is on ebay for 20 quid. Dont know if this is the same type as the famous one i have only ever heard of on this forum but worth a punt for someone im sure.

Not quite the same as the one I have which is a Lowener brand.

That looks like it would read codes etc,, but the more complex ones can run through a sequence of tests which revs the engine automatically etc.

Looks like it's sold already so hopefully someone in the TVR community snapped it up.
