I have finally sold my V8S.

Very sad to see her go this morning but she is in good hands, someone that will certainly look after her and do the few bits that need doing like the dreaded dashboard refurb.

I still regret selling my S2 years ago so it has been hard but having done less than 100 miles each year for a while, the other toys barely moving, I wanted her to go somewhere where she can be improved and looked after.

The new owner is actually a great choice for that as he clearly has a lot more ability than me (that's not hard lol).

I can't say who it is as he wishes to wait for a while before saying anything which is fair enough.

A V8S is an awesome car and it really has been a privilege to own one for so long. However, the best bit remains the people.

I hope to join fasttrack tours on a trip next year, just won't be in a TVR although I still have the Cerb smile

Thank you to everyone for their company over the years, the advice freely given and all the help!

Hi Dave,

Sorry to hear you're leaving the S fold, but I don't think I've ever seen you in your V8S? ( Plenty of times in your Cerb though! ) driving

Hope the mystery new owner gets a lot of enjoyment out of his new toy, and joins in with as many of our activities as he can.

Just wondering why the cloak of secrecy? Has he not yet broken the news to Erin Dawes? wink

Whatever, he ( or perhaps she?) has made a wise purchase, and there will always be plenty of support and advice on here should he/she need it.

See you at the NEC next weekend. thumbup

Hiya,

She used to get used a lot and went on two of Ian's Scotland trips but for the last two years I have been working excessive hours and (for example) drove 1k miles for work this week. I think this year the TVRs and bike did about 300 miles between them.

The new owner will be good for her, is keen and capable smile

Will be at the NEC Saturday and Sunday but as above, can't make Friday due to work. Be nice to see you there.

I only had mine for 2 years but loved it. Sold it to get a Griff 500 but in all honesty enjoyed the V8S more.

I know what you mean. Oddly, I still regret selling my S2, somehow it was just so much fun.

Hi Dave, sorry to hear the S has gone but hope we'll get to see it in future under new ownership.

Fully understand the overwork situation - our poor S is suffering from lack of time. Keeping the M going is enough of a challenge.

Hope to catch up soon.
