hi to all, its sunday,the sun is out and the sky is blue the roofs off the s is fired up and ive just snapped the accelerator cable to my s3.just my luck as its been in the repair shop for 2 weeks and i only got it back friday.still,hope you all had a nice sunday.

thanks pies only had her 4 weeks and 2 of them have been in the workshop, ill pick up a cable tomorrow and do it my self,couldnt bear to see her go again.

Do yourself a favour get two and stick one in the boot for next time

Its not uncommon for them to break and they take up almost zero space

i think your right pies,just been nosing around the forum and im surprised by the amount of people who do.seems iv got alot to learn about the her.

ive read alot about them and judging by the way the forum reads im going to need the bible,thanks for the advice pies. ps is there anyting on the s that does'nt brake/snap/fall off.

Also check that the pedal hasn't been adjusted too high kinking the cable, and the cable enters the bulkhead in line with the pedal. Both common reasons for breaking cables at the pedal end. If you tend to mash the pedal into the carpet looking for that extra 1 BHP (and who doesn't? )consider fitting a throttle stop too.

Actually the "s" is probably the most reliable especially the engine

And everything is cheaper on an "S" to replace

Remember not many people come on and start a thread titled "my car runs fine"

just fitted the cable and now battery just died.still, the cable fitted
