The sunvisors on my S3 (particularly passenger side) tend to drop down. The previous owner did something rather unpleasant with glue and velcro to stop this !
There has to be a better solution - is it possible to get stiffer hinges from somewhere or stiffen them up ?

Oh and another thing (rather than start yet another thread) - I drove down to Lands End at the weekend wuperb weather and all - many bugs died on the windscreen to bring me such pleasure and I had the opportunity to use the hopeless water squirters and lethargic wipers. Have they just got tired or were they always this way ? And is it possible to get ones with a bit more oomph !

Mine are pretty hopeless.. plus if the windscreen's not wet enough they tend to park half way up the screen... although I can drench pedestrians with the squirters..

I got a spraybar upgrade from Tower View which sprays water directly in front of the wiper blade rather than randomly in the general direction of the windscreen. Definite improvement. I'm sure you coule get the bits yourself (Pug I think) if you're handy with the DIY but it didn't cost much from Tower View.

My passenger side visor used to drop down all the time, but my 3yr old son fixed it for me . All it needed was to be slid along it's bar towards the rear view mirror. It only moved a few mm, but it's been fine since.

The spraybar definately sounds a good idea - but how did the wiper motors get to be so crap ?

most stuff simply isnt easy/loose enough....so we add WD40 or grease or other stuff.

So how about taking this in reverse.....why don't you add some grunge into the hinge area.....I tried talcum powder....IT WORKED!

And I don't drive around with B.O.

I think the Autocar Test on the S1 noted the slow wipers!
