Sorry for the questions

Had it serviced last week and all was well until today.
last week when hit it ticked over at about 800 revs now today it has been at 1000 all day and the temp was up at 90 any ideas or am i just being paranoid.

Hi Marc, I have an S3 which idles at about 950rpm ish and is always about 90 degres temp, you say you have just had it serviced, maybe they have set it all up properly and that the car is running normal.
I shouldn't worry if I were you it all sounds ok to me

Yep me too 950 rpm and 90 degrees - its OK

My Ford Sierra book says the 2.9 should idle at 900 +- 50 rpm and is not adjustable.

Cheers for the Answers lads not used to these old cars!!!!! My day to day car is a TT sat at 280bhp and the wife has the VXR Zafira right petrol heads in our house
