Barbeque somewhere inappropriate?
Gratuitous wine and cheese session?

Wales (north or west coast)- could be a good day?

I would be happy to sort BBQs (the throw away things)and route.

Any suggestions - go for it.

If you're heading West then Me and Iain might well join you provided we don't have family stuff that clashes.

Will already be at the Welsh coast on the 27th. A bit too far south and west unfortunately.

A couple of ideas:

Aberdyfi, Borth, Barmouth, Tywyn or Bangor.

Or somewhere in land (Snowdonia)?

Along the coast there's Llandudno, Great Orme, Anglesey, Porthmadog, Barmouth....

They're all 3-3 1/2 hours-ish from Belper depending on the route you take or could go up the mountains to somewhere like Bala Lake. Disco passed it's MOT on Friday so we now have two 4x4's for towing people out of the snow biggrin

Charlie

PS We have a gas BBQ we can bring with us if anyone wants burgers on the beach.

I might be able to do the 27th.

Meet up in Newtown head for Aberystwyth? Nice driving roads but not when ice is about!

If you're after a plate of hearty food when you get there, Pete's Eats in Llanberis could easily turn you into Mr Creosote

Bad news:
No throw away bbqs available. frown

Good news:
Trip to Argos this afternoon and for £25.98 I purchased a portable gas stove and 4 x butane gas cartridges (fired it up and it will be perfect). woohoo

I'm in for the 27th, I have a large number of folding chair's.

However it may be a bit cold to sit down at this time of year......
