I was thinking about routes for the convoy earlier. The route I used last time from the museum to M40 J15 wasn't great - with average speed cameras in Hockley Heath and slow traffic with little opportunity to overtake on the Warwick Road.
I was thinking either taking the A4141 through Knowle to Warwick Parkway, or just taking the boring option of the M42/M40. The route through Balsall Common that we have used before seems to cause trouble with going all the way around the roundabout from the museum, then people missing the turn to Balsall Common and carrying on down the A45.
What do people think?

Looking at the forecast and the conditions out there, I'll be surprised if it goes ahead. It looks like a final decision will be made tomorrow afternoon.
As a side note I also had been thinking about the route and I guess it comes down the conditions of the side roads. If it does go ahead maybe the m42/m40 to play it safe for those going.....which based on conditions currently I'm not sure I would be even if it was still going ahead - these temps are not good for my health
However saying that my car could do with an Italian tune up after what should have been it's winter storage

Last time I lead a convoy down the M42/M40 the weather was terrible too! It isn't back roads to the A46, the road was OK this afternoon in my BMW.
I'm partially hoping it gets rescheduled - the MR2 doesn't usually come out on salty roads.
