Council won’t repair A52 because gypsies

Speaking to a local councillor, the abuse wasn’t from motorists but the gypsies who have an encampment next to where the repairs are required. Evidently the road repairs were annoying them and they threatened the road workers.

The same gypsies that have dug into the adjacent railway embankment to give them more space to park caravans, but as a result it is now unstable and has been closed to walkers/cyclists (old Cotgrave Colliery connection, long closed).
