Bomb scare in Wick

Not sure whether anyone affected on here but there was a bomb scare in the village of Wick tonight.

Suspicious package found near phone box by the Rose & Crown this afternoon led to residents being evacuated and the main A420 closed for a while.

Turned out to be a rucksack and they blew it up apparently in the end.

A timely reminder. Next time I see somebody carrying a rucksack I'll assume they must be a bomber and call the police. We were walking in the countryside on Saturday and saw loads of the b*****ds, all apparently plotting to blow up stategically vital bus stops.

Wow! Sound's like I'm safer over here in Afghanistan, they are everywhere but more people have backpacks over in the South West UK!
