Heath Fire West Upton Area

You may have heard on the news that there is a massive fire on Upton Heath on the western outskirts of Poole.
Try and avoid the area if you can. A35 in and out of Poole and the roads round that area. Police have closed roads because of bad smoke where I live in Creekmoor and people are abandoning cars in the streets. We have closed windows because of the smoke.
So avoid the area if you can or allow extra time for your journey.

Yes, this sounds bad. My other half's Dad is a fireman in Romsey and he said they've deployed 30 pumps and 12 Land Rovers.

I could smell it in the air all the way from Bournemouth to Poole on my way home.

I just came home up Upton Bypass and the road is lined with Fire Engines/men. The smoke was pretty thick!
