Can anyone recommend a place around Brighton where I can get a 4 wheel alignment done properly. I stress properly as this seems to be about the hardest thing to be able to do, if past experience is anything to go by. My barge is wearing the front tyres unevenly and needs rectifying shortly.

Cheers.

I hear Worthing discount Tyres is good, they do specific set ups etc and I believe the owner/manager is into track days etc so has an interest in Pistonhead cars!

I havnt been though, I got mine done at East Grinstead tyres which is a bit further afield, they did a quick good job and set my toe to how I like it smile

Used DTS in Worthing several times over the years with the quattros (although not needed realignment since about 2006), they also get the dealerships quietly 'pop' cars over...

I've used both...If you want a PROPER job, DTD in Worthing. The chap doing the laser work owns a Cerbera if I recall correctly. Very VERY knowlegeable, knows what he's doing to a tee yes

EG Tyres are quick, cheap, & are the no frills option that allows you to crack on with your day. Great for what it is, but I'd go DTD whenever I can.

I use Fields Tyres in Portslade. They have a Hunter 4-wheel laser system and the guys there are very careful with your wheels & tyres

Thanks Nick. I shall remember Fields tyres for next time. I went to Worthing Direct Tyres and they were great. Interestsing that there was nothing wrong with the alignment, but the inner edges are indeed wearing. It's a heavy car, so perhaps it's no surprise.

Thanks again.

Hi guys sorry to resurrect an old thread but was wondering how much you were charged at Worthing DTD?

Is it £30 an axle I.E £60 for the lot? I heard they charge extra for small adjustments like camber etc?

Cheers

Very glad you did - was about to ask the same question (although about Chichester), but Worthing is only down the road.

Cheers

Do you need to supply your own figures?

My handbook has the factory figures listed but just wondering.

Gave Austec racing a call today and got a quote for £117 plus Vat for the wheel alignment. I know they are set up for high end cars, but double the price of anywhere else seems a bit steep? I really wanna use them because they seem like a really great garage, especially for servicing, but I'm now worried they are gonna be super expensive for everything?

Anyone had any experiences?

I'm up in Grinstead today but may wait and go to DTS tyres instead of East Grinstead Tyres.
