Hi all,

Rather annoyingly I have managed to curb an alloy and would like to get it refurbished asap. My usual guy is a bit of a mission to get to just for one alloy, so was wondering if there was anywhere in Portsmouth that you would recommend?

In case it's relevant - it's an 18" multi-spoke for my SLK55 and they were all recently redone (before I purchased) with a 'diamond cut' finish apparently (whatever that is)?!

Thanks

Michael

Thanks guys, a possibility but could do with someone on the island as I need it done this week and have a lot on. Will give him a call though and see.

Any more suggestions welcomed.

All the South Coast threads on wheel refurb end up recommending the WS. I know a friend who ahs used them and found them to be very good.

Thumbs up from me for The Wheel Specialist. I was there on friday and they did an outstanding job. I'll stick a pic up later.

Any ProTyre outlet will get it done, they are part of Micheldever Tyres, last set of diamond cuts i had done cost £232+vat for all 4 18inch mk5 golf GTI monzas

Or Jay "wheelmaster" is mobile and can refinish the rims on those, have had him do a few sets of C63 rims

Another +1 for wheel specialist in Fareham. Must say REALLY good work, but, REALLY expensive on wheel repairs! Almost as much to repair minor scuff and paint as it was to do them origonally! Yeah yeah I know I shouldn;t have curbed them in the first instance

I think the WS are widely considered 'the best' in the area (south of England) - I've used them many times and they always impress.

However, if you want local, ERB Motors in Portsmouth (Claybank Road) do the majority of wheel refurb's for Ridgeway/Portsmouth Mercedes, as well as another local Mercedes Specialists.

Thanks for all the responses guys, in future I will use the Wheel Specialist but for this particular one will use Jay as I am short on time and he can come to me.
