Just an update for anyone that maybe interested.

I accepted an out of court settlement from the censored based "so called" wrapping company for the damage that they caused to my Gallardo.

I have also now removed my wrap, to find 42 separate cut marks on my paint work. Funny really looking back, when I confronted the guy from this company about two cut marks that I found prior to removing the wrap, he told me that he would stake his reputation on the fact that I would not find any more! Well that's his reputation destroyed! I also found that my car was not wrapped in it's entirety with the 3m vinyl that I had paid for, but by no less than 3 different types of vinyl, my car was mainly wrapped with some ultra thin cheap vinyl, this would explain the patchy look my wrap had. Also the iremovable staining near the exhausts.

This wrapping company has cost me dearly financially, even with their compensation I am down several thousand pounds, not including the £1750 I payed for the damn wrap in the first place. My car was treated with total disrespect whilst in their custody, and I feel I was treated in exactly the same way. When I first brought up the fact that I was not happy with my wrap, I was told "I knew you wouldn't be happy with it", I tell you, what the hell? How did you know?? was it because you knew you had done such a damn awful job??? This was amongst a few other odd comments. Including the offer to buy me a new light from Ebay!!! and fit it himself!! Yeah right! He even told me that he had bought me a new light from Lamborghini Bristol!!! (There is no Lamborghini Bristol) At this point I suggested that he could perhaps try and get me a light from Eurospares, but was told that Eurospares are dodgy and sell counterfeit parts!
So you can see I had no option other to go down the legal route.

Yeah, I try and convince myself of that! Got to say the blue looks so much better than the white did. Glad I have got that white crap off my car.

But £1700!! grrrr think of what I could have done with that cash instead! 560 pints of lager, or a decent holiday, or 17 tanks of petrol, or could have just given the money to a good cause! You live and learn.

I actually feel like an Arse for using this dodgy company, I knew I should have moved on when the wrap idiot rested his metal clipboard on my spoiler!

If I can stop anyone else from getting their fingers burnt, I will be happy.

Cheers for that, but I've already arranged for the paintwork to be done by Mark (Owns the RUF), he painted my front bumper last year to an amazing standard.

No problem Pete, I remember you telling me about him, I hope all goes well for you from now on and you can get your car back to its original glory.

Thanks David, I'm gonna get it back to mint condition one way or another. It's off for a service this weekend, then hopefully the paintwork will begin the week after!

Good luck with the paint work, Still couldn't believe the quality when i saw it that somebody who works with body work would let that leave their hands "finished" hope to see it finished in its glory, i personally loved the blue and i normally love white cars biggrin

I still have the wrap on the roof and other bits from the same company so if and when I sell the car and i have to take it off and find cut marks then I will go down the same route as you if I have no joy.

Can someone P.M the name of the company please. I'm thinking of getting my bike wrapped and don't want to find myself in a mess with a bad company. Cheers

I think if it can be 100% wholly proven the company are a bunch of dickwads then yes, name and shame, but all the time they are arguing to toss it's just not worth PistonHeads taking the risk.

Best bet is for a sly PM to the OP. yes

I don't think this company would know quality if it slapped them in the face. So to them it was probably a good wrap!

I think it has been wholly proven that they damaged my car, I have an admittence letter from their solicitor proving the fact.

I am now in conversation with my credit card company to try and retrieve 50% of the £1700 cost, which I think is quite generous of me. The problem here is that apparently I have got to give this company the opportunity to repair the wrap. That is something understandably I would never ever dream of doing, as I think they have damaged my car enough! I have had to supply other information proving other details to get around this.

The honourable thing for this company to do I would have thought is to return all my money with a letter of apology. Word of mouth on the south coast spreads like wild fire, wouldn't they rather have people saying that they screwed up but made good in the end, or that they screwed up and didn't give a monkeys!

With you all the way Pete, especially the last paragraph. I was just putting over the likely PistonHeads viewpoint.

Pleased for you mate, glad it all kind of got sorted in the end. I guess a personal recommendation from someone you know on here is always worth its weight in gold if your considering spending any money on your car. Nothing worse than going to collect your P&J after having something done and being disappointed with the outcome. I think we have all been there. Look forwards to seeing it mint again soon.

Glad to hear everything is getting sorted out. At least they have admitted it in the end! If you make it tonight you could let everyone know there who it is. That's what I would do anyway. A little leaflet under your wiper for people to help themselves to.
