Probably not knowing how we handle snow in the UK!

I was in New York over Christmas and New Year last year and we had 2 feet of snow come down on Boxing Day. The main roads were very quickly cleared, even their refuse lorries are mobilised and fitted with ploughs. Having said that, there were lots of complaints from residents in less busy streets that nothing was done at all!

The pavements in some parts however became very interesting to walk on, this was a bench on the pavement near where we stayed.................

Apparently winter is going to be worse again this year!

Especially if you're Home Alone.
