...a big Z3 sized one, I love my E39 but can't help thinking that now might be a good time to consider looking into a Z3 for the summer!!!
Problem I have is,
a:I am 6ft 6! And,
B: I have a second child on the way (but we do have an estate car too!
Are they all they are cracked up to be? And do you think I'd fit in one comfortably!?

I cant tell you an awful lot about the normal Z3 since i've never driven one but...I can tell you how much I love my Z3M!. Infact i love it so much its my second one!(first with the s50b32 engine and the current being a limited edition version with the S54B32 - 1 of 73 in the UK!)
Don't get me wrong they have their downsides, the seating position is quite high (a mod to alter the seat rails can solve this) and the handling is 'old school' but they have so much character and look great inside and out. Every time you drive the car it feels like an event which is the way i like it. Nothing under 20k entices me away from it
Take one for a test drive and see what you think, I know there are a few tall owners (my brother being one) on the members club, get yourself on zroadster.net (currently down with technical issues) when it comes back online.

Unless you are a died in the wool beemer man, in which case you have already convinced yourself and are just looking for the nod, there are many more cars to consider spending your cash on, even proper sports cars dare I say.
And before some grump says ''I would say that wouldn't I' then no, not something from Hethel, something like a Honda 2000 or even a TVR, but for the purest fun of all, buy a Caterham.
