She's seen this at the garage next to our house. Seems cheap, but I am concerned with trying to sell her current 1.6 Civic at this time of year, and spending so much on our daily runner.

This is the car she likes....

What do you think, what are running costs like on these?

Tell her to drive it see if she likes it. I was going to buy one last week and once taken for a drive I changed my mind and bought the old style type r as much better and easier to drive. IMO.

Looks nice but is it worth it. I was thinking about changing the Mrs car in the new year. She has an Aygo and I fancied getting her a new shape Zetec S Fiesta but then realised that she wouldnt appreciate it and the novelty would wear off in a week for her. There would be dents all over it, scuffed wheels etc in no time!!

Your Mrs however may be into her cars, so it may be worth your while. Nice looking cars and probably going to be fairly cheap to run and reliable.

It's a 2004 facelift 3 door SE but it has the full sport kit, so essentially it looks just like the Sport/Type R, just with smaller wheels. It has the twin exhausts too and white sport dials and seats. It's black, about 35k miles, full Honda history, air con etc. it's a really nice car in very good condition. It's the 1.6, same engine as in the sport.

I think there's a photo in my garage. I'm on my phone atm

What's up with the new one? It looks like so much car for the money. They've offered us £2,500 for our Civic, which is too low. 2004 car with 35,000 miles has got to be worth £4,500 resale hasn't it?

Really poor visibility, unless she intends to thrash the arse off it I can't see the point myself, the extra cost in fuel, insurance and tax, is it really worth it?

Besides, the EP3 is a much better package, cosmic grey facelift cloud9

This is exactly what I bought grey black wheels. Full leather interior. It's a great fun whilst the noble is in the garage. :-)
