Wow, what a fantastic day!
Every time I take my car out it surprises me even further and I love it even more! It's just so well suited for these roads, it's absolutely perfect.
This is the route I took: http://g.co/maps/ujbha
Sorry, it might be a little difficult to follow as there was quite a lot of crossing over roads we'd previously been on and going back on ourselves, but just zoom in and it should become clear. Basically, from home to the Rising Sun pub, then onto Brockenhurst down the best road in the forest (lots of visibility ahead, long sweeping corners, some tight bends, it's a lot of fun!) then to Rhinefield along the most beautiful road in the forest, Rhinefield Ornamental Drive, then over the A36 and onto Boldrewood Ornamental Drive. Stopped at the deer sanctuary and then onto Linwood to the High Corner Inn (not suitable for very low sports cars!!) Then back via Emery Down.
Had a bit of a play with an SLK 55 AMG which looked and sounded stunning. I'm sure we were both making a fantastic sound together!! The roads from Linwood to Emery Down are pretty quiet at this time of year so it was good fun as long as you're sensible and observant - watching out for animals and cyclists and slowing right down on blind humps and corners.
Unfortunately I didn't get much of a chance to get many photos! I was too addictive to driving. It's hard for me to get out the driving seat! Great day for roof down driving!
