Appendix 5 is the document with all the existing and new limits for the areas best roads.

Well that's my commute to work (A339) ruined then.

What the hell is going on?

Mean speeds of 47mph 'high' in a NSL?

Over 71km of NSL roads gone in one fell swoop.

Some idiot being interviewed on the radio stated that this works both ways and that in some cases it may be possible to increase speeds where it can be demonstrated that it is safe to do so. I won't be holding my breath!

This makes me mad, speed does not = deaths, bad driving = deaths. They need to focus on driving/riding standards and not purely on speed, grrrrr... loads of these bits of roads are great driving roads and we are being picked on cos its simple to pick on us....gggrrr and there is nothing we can do about it...grrrr... I just hope 'ampshire does not turn into Oxfordshire...

From what I understand, these are proposals at the moment and are still subject to the usual public consultation process. So, in theory, if enough people raise objections then they may be forced to revise them. Again, not holding my breath though!

Now that is something we need to do? Anyone know how? Or what topics make good objections? Apart from infringing on my human rights as a petrolhead!
