Hi Everybody.

New to the site as you can see, just need some advice really if possible?

I have a 2001 Mercedes Benz ML 270 , Basically the engine is knackered as the injectors keep blowing and to be honest I don’t have the money to get them fixed, been quoted that the job is worth more than the car itself!

So with a heavy heart I have taken the advice of walking away from it rather than stumping up big money to get it fixed.

Would anybody on here know anybody n the Kent area that would be interested in buying this off me for spare/ parts etc?

I’m really sorry if these kind of posts are allowed on this forum or if I have posted in the wrong section etc??

Thanks for any help giving

Joe.

Hi there.

I would say your best bet is to find a local ish mercedes specialist and ask them if they know anybody who could take it off your hands.

Injectors seize up
And blow in the head. Coca cola soak for a few days usually gets them out.

There's this bloke in Southampton, a Merc breaker, he may collect from you? http://www.mercman.net/index.htm

The bolts holding these injectors in are of the 'stretchy' variety.

New bolts & seals and the seats cleaned properly will stop them leaking unless the head is cracked.

Most Indys won't know this wink

He's moved and is now in Cornwall.

Oh blimey, didn't know that. Imagine trying to move a whole breakers yard with all those cars and spares - nightmare!

Ah well, I don't have a Merc anymore luckily!
