thumbup Ohhh they had this before and I was hoping it'd come up again. I guess with 5 x cars, a group of people & 2.5 hours you may not get that much driving time, but it seems like a good course so I have just purchased biggrin No point me pm'ing OP as I'm already a member anyway so you wouldn't get the credit, but thanks for the heads up smile

Crowthorne is just their offices not venue for driving. Website says 'The day is run at one of our private and secure venues across the country to ensure that drivers are able to learn and practice their new skills in complete safety.'

Doesnt give any specifics.

Just went to book thinking I'd like to go mid-week - WRONG!! Groupon voucher says its valid 7 days a week 8 till 5.

Groupon voucher is actually only valid for Saturdays and there are precious little Saturdays left. Also, they take 25 people and you get 4 or 5 laps in 5 different cars for your £130.

If you want to go during the week its another £135 please, cher ching.

I got a refund.

Surely if it says 7 days a week then they have to offer it 7 days a week?

Still, 25 laps in total sounds good.

Hmmm, you appear to be right. Next available date they offered me was end of May.

Shame as it was something I was looking forward to doing too. Depends how long a 'lap' is at Crowthorne - not far I'd imagine having been there when Van Aaken Developments were there a few years ago. Groupon also said that the company involved had written the blurb so they must have seen they had specified it was available 7 days a week - must be incredibly busy only to have a date in May left. Perhaps some PH's should start something like this - must be making a mint doing it 7 days a week!!

I have gone for the date in May. Should still be fun. Wasn't really up for spending nearly £300 on a driving day right now.

Me and some mates have booked this event for 11th May

It is for 25 or so people each day but you are there from 9:00 to 4:30 and you use your own car.

Teaches car control, fast cornering etc

http://www.carlimits.com/script/viewVenue.php?venu...

It comes very highly recommended and costs £39 per person

It is a little way for me but hey, you can't have everything

Sounds like good value, have been to this circuit when my son was involved with Under 17 Car Club, it is going to be a killer on your tyres as the surface is not great, but enjoy.

Hi
Does anyone have any feedback on these? I've seen the deal pop up and want to know if it's worth it. The choice of cars sounds good.

Thanks

It is a great deal, however I highly recommend you upgrade it to the full day which costs £270, I can assure you you wont be disappointed, myself and my 2 boys attended and it really was good.

Thanks, they tried to sell me that but I thought it a bit of a sales ploy so backed off.

I know it does feel that way, and I'm sure it is clever marketing, but if you feel you could afford the extra, believe me, it is very good value then.
