Having spent the last two days working in Swindon the 5' was in dire need of fuel this morning and as such I thought i'd fill up on the way in to work.

Not so.

Why is everyone buying fuel at the same time so either gagarges are running dry or the queues are simply too abhorrent to face?

I'll probably run out of fuel on the way home tonight. Ho hum, it'll be an adventure.

Murco in Ferndown had some last night, but as you say Bournemouth/ Poole is dire to say the least

You can blame the media and some politician who should know better for this. I'm in the same shoes, on the red and actually need to fill up for 200 mile trip, looks like i'll have to queue for hours with all the numpties who are panic buying...

Also, the police have 'requested' that certain filling stations close for a while as queueing cars were causing chaos blocking up roads.

I topped up last night at Murco in West Moors if thats any help.

The question is though, with the common sense we are all talking about why did people still go out and top up 'just in case'? Anyone who filled up 'just in case' is a fking retard in my opinion and should feel guilty for adding to the chaos.

Indeed, however, in my case i did actually NEED diesel for the van and petrol for the wife's car so that she could get to work.

It is bloody madness, i tell thee.

In that case you can rest easy in the knowledge you were just going about your normal business.

Still, if it wasnt for the news would you have made a special trip out to fill both vehicles or just waited until you actually needed it like you would have done a few weeks back. No better than the rest imho.

I dont normally fill up until the gauge shows 50miles left, and I wont be doing any different. I refuse to add to the problem. Oh and yes before anyone asks, I would like a medal!

Don't know why people are panicking, I've yet to go past a petrol station on my commute with no fuel.

The Esso at the top of Bath Hill quenched the thirst of the 5' today. Fortunately it seems all had forgotten about its existence and as such i managed to capitalise on that.

Still was amusing (disheartening) to see a queue of cars outside Murco at Bear Cross at 7pm this evening.

I hate people, they are en masse so incredibly stupid.

Bloody annoying for me! My £100+ will only get me 200 miles and I've done 700 miles this week and can;t find anywhere to fill up for Mondays trip to Derby!

They should be getting more lorries out to top up tonight so my advice would be to wait it out until tommorrow some time, or even sunday. Let the mongs die off before you venture out.
