Hi all,

Going to be travelling up to Renault Slough tomorrow, leaving at 9am, to look at a car for my Dad, and was wondering what the easiest/best route would be?

I was thinking the usual M3-M4 but didnt know if there was a slightly better route?

Thanks!

That's probably the best route, especially as the traffic is lighter this week and probably even more so tomorrow (as lots of people are on holiday) and you're leaving at 9:00 so you'll miss the worst of the traffic when you get up towards the top of the M3.

Not the most scenic, but M3-M4 has to be the simplest & speediest route..

Actually, having thought about it a bit more, I'd suggest saving yourself the journey, and not buying a Renault in the first place. biggrin

I'd go A32 up to Alton then Basingstoke, A33 up to J11 M4 then 20 mins down the motorway.

Done this trip many many times, M3, A33 via Basingstoke then M4. Alternative is M3, A329m, but at 9am not a good option as M3 that further up and A329 gets busy at Brqacknell. M3/M4 is easier but does take longer, even cruising at 100+leptons

Thanks chaps.

I know what you mean about being Renault but it's the old man and he wants a megane sport tourer.

Mind you, for the money they don't look too bad!

Hi all,

Just to say thanks for the tips.

M3-A33-M4 worked a treat.
