Hi all,

I was wondering if you know anywere which could take 2 tyres off my spare track wheels and put onto my other car wheels?

Just noticed my dailys fronts are pretty shot, so just gona use what i have in the shed!

Most places I ring say no as i didnt buy their tyres!

Thanks,

Andy

I have had that done a few times, I use a small idenpendent tyre place on a back street in Brighton (obviously too far for you to travel!), they are quite happy to do it, they have a set charge it doesn't matter to them that you haven't bought the tyres, I guess that's factored into the charge. The fact that they do stuff like that also encourages me to go there when I do want to buy tyres.

Look for somewhere that isn't a national chain. Breakers often sell and fit used tyres and I would think would do whatever you want if there's cash in it!

Most places round Chandlers Ford will do it, had it done at tyreland/Protyre/barker tyres. Normally about £10 a wheel.

I need to do this soon on the mrs mini as I have a spare front set to go on.

Brilliant thanks all,

I usually go to barmers at asda - they are £30 cash for four wheels. But I tend to just rock up in the Cupra with a boot of track wheels and tyres which they just swap over.

They say they only do this as they dont need to get the car on the ramps etc to change over, taking up space etc. I will just go in the Veccy and try and convince them its still worth doing for me wink haha!

Ill let ya know how i get on, would be handy if they do this regardless of how they get the cash.

TyreShops in Hedge End are good and do this for me all the time (my missus works at a garage so we get our own tyres from her and they swap them for a few quid every 3-4 months!). They're in the indistrial estate next door to whatever the window places are called now. Herald Industrial estate I think?

It's not actually tyreshops that she works in unfortunately, but if you go in and say Sam from Peter Coopers sent you in, they usually do something!!

'fraid not on the M3 front frown It just never gets used anymore so it's gotta go. Every time I get the camera out to take some photo's of it, I just can't do it though!
